Do you want to experience life, love and joy?  Do you want to know that you know God?   How can I know that I know God? These are the oldest and deepest of all human quests and questions.  What if answer is also a question - who or what do I love?  John’s community wrestled with challenges to their faith and life by teachers who were once part of their community.  John, late in life, encourages his fellow believers in the love of God and the love of others.  It all starts with God knowing and loving us.  God – who is Light and Love - desires for us to know Him.  Knowing Him is Life and Joy: to know Him is to love Him; to love Him is to trust Him; to trust Him is to obey Him, to obey Him is to love others; to love others demonstrates our love for Him.  May we come to know the love of the Father and learn how to love one another through our study of I John this fall.
