Justin Lewis | Associate Pastor for Smaller Communities
Justin was raised in Marion, North Carolina and studied Communications at UNC-Chapel Hill. It was in college that he met and developed a deep friendship with Holly while they were part of the same campus ministry. After they married, they lived in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for a time before venturing off to seminary at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Hamilton, Massachusetts) to pursue Justin’s Master of Divinity degree.
They returned to Winston-Salem and God began adding to the family with Tessa, Joshua, and AJ. Justin was ordained at WPC in 2017 after serving in various roles at First Presbyterian Church (Winston-Salem, NC) and First Presbyterian Church (Marietta, GA). Justin and Holly both have a passion for the Dominican Republic and serve with Mission Emanuel, a ministry which Holly serves on staff. Justin’s role at WPC includes launching and guiding small groups, teaching new member classes, supporting the Mission & Ministries Commission and weekly worship services.
Justin enjoys teaching, writing, throwing frisbee, Saturday morning pancakes, cheering for the UNC Tarheels and Boston Red Sox, sitting by a campfire, hiking, having spontaneous dance parties with his kids, and taking his wife Holly on dates.
